Our Vision and Story...

"As Christ followers at GracePointe, we are called to bless others with the grace we have received so we can point them to Jesus."
Our goal is to create a community of love, support, and fellowship for all ages as we "Make Christlike Disciples in the Nations!"
GracePointe began in December 1937 as the Queensborough Church of the Nazarene. In 1969, the church purchased our current property on Pines Road under the name of Huntington Park Church of the Nazarene. The church merged with Werner Park Church in 1988 and in 2009, took the name GracePointe Church of the Nazarene with the goal of reaching our community in Shreveport-Bossier.

Today, our faith family remains committed to serving God by serving one another and our community. We believe that the best thing we can do with the grace we have received is to give it away. We do that through our worship and discipleship gatherings, investing in the next generation of believers through our kids' and student ministries, and partnering with organizations like the Northwest Louisiana Food Bank to serve our community.
The Church of the Nazarene is the largest denomination in the classical Wesleyan-Holiness tradition. The doctrine that distinguishes the Church of the Nazarene and other Wesleyan denominations from most other Christian denominations is that of entire sanctification. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind. You can learn more about the Church of the Nazarene and what we believe HERE.

Meet the team.
We recognize all believers are called to minister to all people. (1 Pet 2:5,9-10) We also affirm Christ calls some men and women to a specific and public ministry even as He chose and ordained His 12 apostles.
