FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
At GracePointe, we gather to remember, to embrace, and to anticipate the Story of God on our journey. We want to create an environment where you connect with God and with others. We know that your first time at a church - any church - brings up some questions. Here are some answers to some of those frequently asked questions.
What happens on Sunday Morning?
Sunday Discipleship Classes begin at 9 am. Our greeter at the front door can assist you with directions to the appropriate room. Our Sunday morning service begins at 10 am.
What about Childcare?
There is childcare available and activities for all age groups. Our safe and secure nursery is provided for infants through pre-school age children. Pagers are provided as you check your child in with the nursery attendant
Our children, Kindergarten through 5th grade, join with their family for the first part of our community worship. They will be prayed over and continue to Children's Church where they will learn biblical truth on an age appropriate level.
Is it safe to leave my children with you?
At GP Naz, your children's safety is our main priority. Our volunteer team goes through an extensive background check, training program and ongoing leadership development at the local and district level. Both our Early Childhood and Children's ministries are in a secure and safe area of our building with limited access.
What if I have special needs?
Guest are encouraged to use our handicap accessible parking area and a covered drop off for your convenience. Our bathrooms offer handicap accessible features as well. Listening devices are available for those with hearing needs. One of our tech support team members would be happy to assist.
Do you have other Sunday opportunities to be involved?
We value community. We have several Sunday Discipleship classes that meet at 9 am. We offer Connect Groups that meet in homes around the Shreveport/Bossier area. Some meet on Sundays and others offer other times that work better for their group.

What is the service like?
Think of our worship service as a time to absorb God, thank Him for his presence and goodness, offer ourselves to His service and leave encouraged to bless others. Our music is a blend of songs that mix the old with the new, lead by our worship team and band. We offer hymnals, but the words to our music are also on our video screens. We often include videos, slides or special music to enhance our service. Check out some of our Sermons here.
What do you believe?
We believe that we are here to bring glory to God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We passionately desire to worship Jesus Christ, to instruct and encourage Christians, to become like Christ, and to share our savior and Lord with the world.
What are Sacraments?
Sacraments are the rituals of the church that are part of our worship. They include: monthly communion (1st Sunday of the month), baptisms and child dedications.
How long does the service last?
A typical service will last about 70 minutes. (give or take a few).
What should I wear?
Please come dressed in a manner that you are most comfortable. Most folks choose to dress as if they were going out to dinner but you will see everything from suits and ties and dresses to t-shirts and jeans. Your presence is more important than your appearance.
