PROVERBS 1
INTRODUCTION TO PROVERBS (1:1-6)

• This book is not just a collection of cute sayings:

 It contains deep spiritual insights into daily living.

FEAR GOD/HONOR PARENTS (1:7-9)
 Knowledge comes from the fear of the Lord.

AVOID BAD INFLUENCES (1: 10-19)

•  Children listen to the instruction of the Father – He wishes to speak to you and lead you away from temptation and evil.

 
THE CALL OF WISDOM (1:20-33)

•  It is much easier for a person to remain where they are than to change.

• Spiritual growth does not come to those who are stagnant –

but to those who actively seek God.

The question today is – “Will you heed God’s voice? Will you fear Him – reverence Him – respect Him – follow Him?”
