Excavate - Acts 20-21
John 6:68, “You don’t want to leave too, do you? Peter answered, Lord, to whom should we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
Romans 5:3-5, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
“Discipline without relationship leads to rebellion.”
2 Corinthians 1: 8-9, “We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters,[a]about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.”
Acts 19:32, “The assembly was in confusion: Some were shouting one thing, some another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there.”
Acts 20:22-23, “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen there. 23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.”
Ephesians 6:12-18, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and
“Be alert and always keep praying for all the Lord’s people.”
