Adages: a short statement expressing truth: Proverbs is Truth for life.
Proverbs 1:2-3, “for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight;
for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair.”
Proverbs 32:27, “For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.”
A Review of our Reading: Chapters 1-15
3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight”
4:23, Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
11:13, “A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.”
14:12, There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end, it leads to death.”
15:1, “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
15:22, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”
Chapters 16-31

We can build up or tear down… or Choose to Speak life into people.
Proverbs 21:23, “Those who guard their mouths, and their tongues keep themselves from calamity.”
