Delve Deeper Luke 1-2
The Word of the Lord: Luke 1:26-38
Now, the angel comes on the scene and says:
Luke 1:28-29, “The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.”
Luke 1:34, “How can this be, “Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
Luke 1:36-37, “Even Elizabeth, your relative, is going to have a child of her old age, and she, who was said to be unable to conceive, is in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God.”
Luke 1:38, “I am the Lord's servant, “Mary answered. May your words be fulfilled.”
Another translator says:
"Whatever God says, I accept it.”
“Let it be with me, just as you say.”
This is the essence of peace. Peace comes from surrender.
If you need peace today, the answer is in vs. 38.
Whatever God says, I accept it.” NLT
Do you want peace?
Be like Mary. Lord, whatever you say, I accept it.
