Things we learn from Ezekiel:
 
 
We are Called by God…

• God calling Ezekiel reiterates Israel’s failure.

 
 

• God Calling Israel reiterates Gods caring.

 
 

• The message to Ezekiel is not contingent upon the people’s response.

Ezekiel 3:10-12, And he said to me, “Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you. Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.”Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a loud rumbling sound as the glory of the Lord rose from the place where it was standing.

When God give us a message…

1. Listen Carefully.
2. Take it to heart.
3. Speak it.

In Ezekiel 11:19-20, the Lord says, I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
 
Ezekiel 18:30-32, “Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel?  For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
